Ear candling, a traditional therapy used by the Ancient Greeks, popularised by the Hopi Indian tribe of the American South-West.  Hopi (meaning “Peaceful People”)

How it works

A candle is placed just inside the ear, the candle is then lit, there is a gentle suction  and vacuum which draws out the wax and impurities from the ear.

A cracking sound may be heard, a small amount of ear wax will also be remove during treatment.

Hopi Ear Candles can benefit conditions affecting the head and ears such as sinus congestion, ear noises and excessive earwax. The rising air through the column of the candle and gentle natural movement of the flame serve to gently massage the ear drum.

Not suitable for everyone

Hopi candle are not suitable for people with grommets or that have just had recent surgery, perforated ear drums they should also not be used if there is any inflammation or infection.
